EXPORT CONTROLLER

Lara began her carrier as an organiser for an India based company organising a Trade exhibition at the Durban Exhibition Centre. She travelled to India (New Delhi & Agra) to recruit traders to take part in the Durban Expo. After a year with Redsun International, Lara moved across to Cargo Management Centre in January 1996 as a receptionist, then moved to enquiries/accounts. She then joined the Cargocare team in March 2000 as a receptionist and creditors clerk. Lara took care of the creditors payments (including VAT, Customs payments, Salaries), Debtors invoicing and payment allocations, printing bank statements, reconciling bank accounts, switchboard and general admin duties. In October 2008 Lara moved to exports as a controller. Lara is a qualified first aider.

Lara has been married to James for 10 years. They have two beautiful children, Tanner and Shelby, who take up most of their time. In her spare time (which is not a lot), she enjoys the craft of Scrapbooking, reading (mostly murder mysteries) and taking photo’s of her children.

The van Niekerk's are very family orientated and enjoy spending weekends with their family at Braai’s, watching Tanner play baseball and visiting Lara's dads' small holding (they call it the farm) in Rosetta (near Mooi River).
